Lubricone Series Spesifications:
Fine molecular structure.
High melting point wax for use on automatic and manual winding
machines processing single and two fold yarns.
Introduction
Lubricone Wax Discs manufactured solely by Gibson Parafin Ltd.
represent many years of research and development aimed at producing
a range of universal waxes to suit all yarns produced on all
commercially made rotor spinning and winding equipment.
The Lubricone Range of specially modified waxes have been formulated
to run efficiently under varying mill temperature and humidity
conditions. Many modern auto winding machines suffer from local
high temperature hot spots, particularly around the waxing unit.
This can substantially effect the waxing of yarns if standard
low melting point paraffin waxes are used.
Lubricone wax discs will not be affected by these higher temperature
due to their inherent heat stability and higher melting points
leading to greater stability of the wax disc i.e. the wax will
not deform or soften over a broad temperature range. Wax disc
deformities can lead to situations of inconsistent waxing whilst
softening of the disc commonly leads to substantial overwaxing,
which can cause the knitter as many problems as un-waxed yarns.
